Can't embed NBA.com's videos?

On http://www.nba.com/lakers/news/09ringceremony.html ... I am trying to embed its Flash video into http://videosift.com/video/Lakers-Get-Their-Rings-Ceremony-from-2008-2009-season but it is not showing up correctly.

Any ideas? Thank you in advance.

Is michie still an active member on this site? If not, I'd like to claim the sports channel instead of creating a new one. There are plenty of channels already out there and the wall of checkboxes is constantly growing, so I'd rather take over an abandoned channel than create a new one. Is that cool with everyone? What do I have to do to make it happen?

campionidelmondo aka. CDM aka. Fabio has advanced through the ranks and gotten himself a Ruby. He immediatly started working on a better user-interface for it and the possibility of changing its colour.

CDM (his name means "World Champions" for those of you who aren't fluent in guinea) has long been one of the most notable members of the sift. As you may know he designed the GUI of VS4.0 and I'm sure everyone agrees it looks amazing. Prior to this Fabio made numerous scripts concerning the GUI and functionality of the site and he always published them on his blog instead of sifttalk so he never got the *qualities he so rightly deserved. Here's something new, fellas: Damien Walters and Tim "Livewire" Shieff made a freerunning sequence on YouTube that lets the viewer decide which move he/she wants to see next.

You get to follow either Damien or Tim and at certain points, you are presented with a choice of two alternative moves, each with its own video. The choice is done via annotations, annoying as they usually are.

And everything was filmed rather close-up, so you're up for a treat.

Nothing too fancy, but an interesting concept.

Tried to sift it, but failed miserably due to mandatory &iv_load_policy=3 which disabled annotations, thus rendering the concept ineffective.

London's Trafalgar Square was invaded by competitors all hoping to jump, run and flip their way to victory in the World Freerun Championship.

Twenty-seven freerunners from 17 countries battled it out on a specially-designed course, using bars, boxes and poles to dazzle a 7,500-strong crowd.

Great Britain's Tim Sheiff was crowned winner of this year's tournament after wowing judges with his gravity-defying moves.

You might know Livewire from a few parkour/freerunning/urban gymnastics videos on the sift, especially as the partner in crime of Damien Walters.

As of yesterday- June 18 2009, Formula 1 as we know it no longer exists. What happened is that eight teams, Brawn GP, Ferrari, McLaren, Renault, Toyota, BMW Sauber, Red Bull Racing and Toro Rosso announced their decision to leave and form an independant motorsports body (FOTA)following a four-hour meeting last night ahead of this weekend's British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

Honda left months ago due to the unsustainability of maintaining a $500 million budget in these uncertain economic times.

This means there is not one single manufacturer left in the FIA camp, only privateers.

Bernie Ecclestone and Max Mosley are of course threatening legal action against the rebels, and have begun construction of a new, more powerful space station to bring the alliance to its knees.

The greatest exhibition of speed and engineering on earth is now kaput.

New site founded by Tony Hawk hosts awesome extreme sports footage as well as some comedy. The best part of this site, though, is it has a built in frame by frame slow-motion toggle.

I'm hooked... 36 jumps this year and I can't get enough.
Why?
Well, the residual effect on my state of mind is long-term.
For about an entire week after a jump I feel great.
Of course, on the flip side, if I go longer than a month "sans jump" I get a bit edgy.
Looking forward to commenting and talking about it. I've gotten lots of friends to go and they've all had a blast.
I've got some kick asss videos, too.
